suround sound issue

First off I've got a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 and logitch X-530 speakers with analog 3x miniplug (green, orange, black). Anyways in Vista beta 2 i cant seem to get 5.1 to work, i have xp home on a 2nd HDD and everything works fine in xp. The stereo works ok in vista (i say ok because it crackles and pops sometimes) but when set to 5.1, sound only comes out of front left and right. I've tried the automatic drivers that vista used and drivers from creative, same result. Any suggestions? Driver issue?

I get this too - as yet unsolved...
I have a SB Extigy, but only Stereo Sound (plus woofer)
I also get the odd hiccup in audio playback too.
I've not trued installing Creative's Drivers, as they don't have Vista ones, nor do they plan to for my Extigy :-(
Didn't want to screw anything up by installing old drivers!
